++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ In a world of so much darkness and becoming more and more dark with each passing day from the results of not living according to the Word of God, the prayers of the righteous is needed more than ever before. Murder, random shootings, the redefining of marriage from God's only intent and purpose, perversion that use to be hidden but now becoming so open that you simply can turn on your television and see a commercial on primetime TV of people having sex to sell condoms. Perversion is even coming in the form of cartoons. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 “I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn't have to destroy the land, but I found no one.”(NLT) Ezekiel 22:30 In Ezekiel Chapter 22 God called Jerusalem the City of Murder. Ezekiel 22:2-3 The leaders had become corrupt in sin, with murder, idolatry, extortion…. They were participating in the sins that they should have been teaching the people to stay away from. In doing so there was no one to lead the people back to God when the people fell. There was no one to prevent God's judgment from coming upon them. There was no one to talk to God. There was no one to get a prayer through. God looked for someone to stand in the gap for the people so that he wouldn't have to bring judgment on them but he found no one. One of Satan's plans is to take us off the Wall of Righteousness, to render us useless in standing in the gap in prayer for this world, our church, our family and for one another. Don't be fooled. Just because you are a strong Christian, Satan is still on his job to steal, to kill, and to destroy you. 1 Corinthians 10:12 The bible teaches us in James 1:14-15 “But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” It's more important than ever to be on guard so that we are not taken off the Wall. It is the prayers of the righteous that avail much. James 5:16 It is our prayers that can deliver a brother/sister from death and give life. 1 John 5:16 And at some point we will be that brother/sister that need prayer. Galatians 6:1-3 Don't be misled into thinking you can live any kind of way, do what you want to do outside of God's Word and then communicate with Him. God says, “If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:” 1 John 1:6 “For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.” 1 Peter 3:12 “Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” Isaiah 59:1-2 “Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.” John 9:31 Now before you get ready to debate the fact on whether or not God hears sinners/unbelievers prayers, this is not the focus. [God is Sovereign - For more on that question, Does God Hear/Answer Sinners/Unbelievers Prayers?] In Ezekiel 22:30 the wall spoken of is not made of stones, but of faithful people united in their efforts to resist evil. The “wall of righteousness” was in disrepair because there was no one who could lead the people back to God. Our focus today, as God's children, is to remain in a place where we can be confident that God hears and answers our prayers, 1 John 3:21-22 to remain in a place so that our prayers avail much 1 John 3:21-22, to give life to those who fall 1 John 5:16, and to be able to restore our brother/sister. Galatians 6:1 “The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.” Proverbs 11:6 So where do you stand with God today? Can God call upon you to pray? Have you ever heard God call out somebody's name and asked you to pray for them? Although Ezekiel spoke about the Leaders/Pastors/Preachers, as children of God we all are leaders. It is not simply the Pastors and Preachers but we are all now called to lead people to Christ and to stand in the gap for the world and for each other. God says, “______________, you are needed more than ever to cry out for my people and for this dark world. Set your heart and your mind to follow Me and be ye holy as I am holy. Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart. It's your prayers I will always hear and answer..
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ It is because of Jesus is how I know the Lord always hear my prayers and answers. Because of Him who knew no sin but became sin that I might be the righteousness of God through Him. When I fall I can confess my sin and He is faithful to forgive my sin and cleanse me from all unrighteousness for when I sin I have an advocate who pleads my case for me. So therefore I can go boldly before the throne of grace and obtain mercy to receive grace at my time of need. I know He calls out my name to one of His soldiers on the Wall when I am in need. I LOVVVE the Lord because he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. Can I always get a prayer through? Yes I Can!!! Why because it's not my righteousness but it is the righteousness of God through His dear Son, He intercedes for me and I live daily to please Him. Yes I now understand what my mother-in-law meant, for you see, “Baby when ‘I' pray the Lord moves and answers ‘My' prayers”.
