“Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph
in Christ,

and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:
To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life.”
2 Corinthians 2:14-16

I get a lot of revelation from talking to my children. Recently my daughter shared with me how this rich woman approached her and said, “Don't I know you from somewhere? And they began a conversation. In the midst of the conversation, the rich woman asked, “What is that scent you are wearing? She said it is Stella. Apparently Stella perfume cost about $100 per ounce. It was given to my daughter as a gift. As she continued to tell me about the conversation the Spirit said through me, “Don't allow pride to subtly creep in. God blessed you to wear Stella in order that you are able to attract Stella kind of people to Him.”

Wikipedia says perfume is a mixture of fragrant essential oils or aroma compounds, fixatives and solvents used to give the human body, animals, food, objects, and living spaces "a pleasant scent."

The bible teaches us that there is a scent that is s pleasing to God and gets His attention. It is the scent of a sacrifice. When it pleases God it goes up to him as a sweet aroma, a sweet savor.

In the Old Covenant (bond, agreement, between God and man to dwell together) man would sin and because the wages of sin is death Romans 6:23, to atone (to make amends, to remain in that covenant relationship) for the sin, he would bring an animal to the altar (rams, bulls, lambs, goats and if you were poor you were allowed to bring two turtle doves or pigeons). [The type of animal seemed to be dependent on the offer's financial ability. The one bringing the offering was to lay a hand on the animal so as to identify that the animal was taking the person's place and then kill it. Leviticus 1:1-6, Hebrews 9:22 The entire animal was burned as a sacrifice. (The aroma sent up from the burnt offering ascribed by God, was sweet and soothing to Him.) Leviticus 1:7-9 This was done to restore the relationship with God and to atone for some sin. Holman's Dictionary]

Since the animal was a sacrifice to God and represented a replacement for man Romans 6:23, you couldn't bring a holy God any old thing and call it a sacrifice. It had to meet God's standard to satisfy the debt owed for the broken agreement. It had to be perfect and without blemish. Leviticus 1:3 It had to be of value to you and cost you something to give it up. When King David had a choice to give God and offering of less value for His mercy given him, he said, “… I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the Lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing.” 2 Samuel 24:24

What God once asked of us in the Old Covenant He gave much more in His New Covenant. His sacrifice was of GREAT value and COST Him something to give it up. He gave the ultimate sacrifice, His innocent, only Son . 2 Corinthians 5:21 It did what no unholy man could possibly do. Hebrews 2:17-18 It fulfilled every law and satisfied the debt and penalty of our sin Hebrews 10:5 completely. Hebrews 10:10

Why? So that we can live with HIM forever and provided a way so He can take complete care of us 1 Peter 5:7 . Don't believe for a moment that you can take care of yourself. I don't know about you but when I look back over my life I shutter to think about where I would be without HIM. (homeless, no job, no money, loss, confused, out of my mind, haunted, beaten, paid back, dead) But thank God while I was yet in my sin He rescued me!!! Romans 5:8 Because of His ultimate sacrifice, through belief in His finish work, our relationship has been restored back with HIM eternally. Romans 4:22-25 And now we have access to a Holy, eternal, only living, all knowing, creator of all, giver of all maker of all, maker of all, owner of all, God. Romans 5:1-2

So what do we offer up to God as a sacrifice for all that He's done for us? We simply offer ourseves. For we are called to be God's living sacrifices. He wants us to give and use our lives so that He can do the same for others. “And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. [And not any old sacrifice, but that which pleases Him] Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.” Romans 12:1 We are now earthen vessels that carry the gift that has the power connect others to Him. 2 Corinthians 4:7 It emmits a scent that pleases God. Jesus the Christ who now dwell inside of us. 2 Corinthians 4:10

Are we allowing Him to live through us that others might be saved? Is there something that may be hindering God's work in us that will accomplish what He has placed in us to attract others to Him?

Today God says, (insert your name) _________________, there is an aroma that is emitting from you to Me, My people and those that are yet to be saved. Sit with me and let us search for the root of that stench that is not of me. Isaiah 1:18-19

[And as I close.] Thank you for taking the time to share in the conversations that God gives me in the Garden. I know these messages seem long and I try to shorten them. I hope the time spent with God In the Garden always allow you to receive the revelational knowledge of who He truly is and enlighten you to know the hope of his calling for you. Like the revelation He gives me when I talk to my children, He gives us revelation when we talk to Him. Ephesians 1:17-18 [And as I close]. (Wait a minute I thought you already said you were closing! SMILE)

Please take this with you: As my daughter was given Stella perfume as a gift, God has given you something to. Make sure when the attraction to the gift comes, you point them to the One who gave you the gift. John 12:32 And then look for the opportunity to share HIS ultimate Gift. John 3:16 Remember once your Stella gift is given and received by you it is no longer about you! The scent is for others. [SMILE] 2 Corinthians 2:15 Who knows, maybe you can share this very message as a scent to attract someone to Christ. [Okay, now, AMEN] Smile.
