“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses:
but we will remember the name of the
Lord our God.”
Psalm 20:7

While spending time with God one morning He led me to this scripture, (KJ) “ And the Lord was with Judah ; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.” Judges 1:19. I said wait a minute God, how is it that you were with Judah and they were able to drive out the inhabitants of the mountain but could not drive out those in the valley because they had chariots of iron? Are you not greater than iron? Matter of fact, You made the iron and men on the chariots are under Your control. Psalm 24:1

This bothered me because I am at a place in my life where what's facing me seem invincible. Then the Lord took me to Joshua 17:16-18. God had already told them that the land was theirs and that they would have to fight, even though the enemy had chariots of iron, they would win. It was not God that couldn't drive out the enemy because of the chariots of iron, it was their fear which caused them to look at the chariots of iron and not the God who promised. Romans 4:21

It's right here where the Lord showed me that I took my eyes off Him and placed it on the situation. As long as it seemed I was fighting by praying, fasting, giving, loving, taking care of all that He commanded me to the best of my ability, trusting and believing that He will answer because He fights all my battles, I was winning. But like Judah I was in the mountain winning but then the valley came and the CHARIOTS of IRON showed up. Judges 4:3

God showed me the Chariots of Iron, although real, became greater than God in my mind Hebrews 12:3. I took my eyes off of Him, and as the children of Israel, I became a grasshopper in the midst of giants Numbers 13:33. I became fearful and afraid that God was not going to answer. I don't know about you, but sometimes the Chariots of Iron seem greater than my faith in God. Although He's got me through many trials, it's the present one that I'm now facing continues to try to immobilize me. I realize it's not the chariots of iron that I'm fighting but it's the good fight of faith. I know He has not brought me this far to leave me. (KJ) Hebrews13:5 "... for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."

What am I going to do now? I was unjustly treated and I don't know how to fight this great multitude 2 Chronicles 20:12. There is no way that I can come up against my Chariots of Iron 2 Chronicles 20:6-7. Ahaw!! There is the problem, it's not me that have to fight, this battle is God's not mine! 2 Chronicles 20:15

As Joshua and Caleb stood by faith in the face of great opposition Numbers 14:8-9, and were the only two that entered the Promised Land because of their faith Numbers 14:36-38, I too must stand and not stagger at the promise of God through unbelief but be strong in faith, giving glory to God and being fully persuaded that what He had promised, He is more than able to perform! Romans 4:20-21

Okay Satan, what if I made a mistake? Then like the children of Israel I will cry out to the Lord Judges 4:3. He is no respecter of a person, what He did for them He will do for me besides, I too am the promised seed of Abraham Romans 4:23-24, Galatians 3:7. I don't know how He's going to do it but I know He will Isaiah 43:19. God has a strange way of fighting. His ways are not our ways Isaiah 55:8. In Judges4 He caused the enemy, Sisera, with the chariots of iron, to come down off those chariots of iron and was destroyed. Judges 4:15-16 For everything that is named is under Jesus feet! Ephesians 1:19-22!

What about you today? What Chariot of Iron are you facing?

God says, “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but you _____________ (insert your name) remember my name, the King of Glory, the Lord God strong and mighty in battle, The Lord of Host!!! Your enemy is defeated and the battle is already won!
