“Blessed and happy and enviably fortunate and spiritually prosperous
(in the state in which the born-again child of God enjoys and finds
satisfaction in God's favor and salvation,
regardless of his outward conditions)…(Amp)
Matthew 5:10

I was talking to one of by best friends and my Sister in Christ. Her life is a life to be envied. She is married, has a husband that adores and takes care of her, they are financially stable, and more importantly, they are both faithful children of God. Her son graduated from college, has a fabulous job, bought a house, strong in the Lord, prayed for a wife, married, and recently had a child. My friend and her husband often vacationed with him and his wife and went to fabulous places. When it was time for the baby to be born they went out there anticipating the arrival.

I soo admired her life and still do. It is truly a blessing to watch God at work through a true couple of God. I thought ohhh how wonderful it is to have that. The baby was born and I envisioned the exuberantly happy event. I received a phone call stating, “Our baby boy is here!!!” Our wonderful, I thought, no one deserves it more.

The following day my friend called in tears. She stated I truly need to talk. I can no longer pretend everything is great. My daughter-in-law and I, for some reason, have not been getting a long. I did not know she felt some of things she has been expressing about me. It got soo bad until I was uncomfortable when the baby was born. It was soo bad, I was soo hurt so we left without even having an opportunity to hold my first grandson.

When I hung up the phone I said to myself, you always think people are blessed and have it going on when you look at the outside but... And immediately the Spirit quickened and said, “She's still BLESSED, not only BLESSED but greatly to be envied.” WOW!!! I immediately got it!

In that very moment I received a deeper revelation of what it truly means to be blessed as a Believer. Jesus told us that in this life there will be tribulation and trials. Because we are Christians does not exempt us from trials. The same things unbelievers go through we do too, sometimes even worst. (Amp)“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]” John 16:33

But Jesus said no matter how it looks on the outside we are blessed, enviably fortunate and spiritually prosperous. “Blessed and happy and enviably fortunate and spiritually prosperous (in the state in which the born-again child of God enjoys and finds satisfaction in God's favor and salvation, regardless of his outward conditions) are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake (for being and doing right), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven!” Matthew 5:10 So I'm in trouble, in foreclosure, my child is on drugs, I'm sick but I'm BLESSED?

Why? Because we are always safe and secure in the Master's hands. Jeremiah 18:4-6 We don't have to figure things out for ourselves or grope around in the dark trying to see our way through. 1 John 2:8, Luke 1:79 [The song writer says Stop trying to figure it out, God has already worked it out.] What makes us enviable is Who we have that the unbeliever does not. We have the answer to our every problem. We can always go through our troubles in peace and joy knowing without a doubt no matter how it appears we will always win. John 14:6

Think for a moment. What if you just lost your job, have no savings and the house note is due. The first thing that usually come to mind whether a Believer or not is, "What am I going to do now?" Fear and panic sets in. But Jesus said you are actually in a blessed position. Matter of fact it is even downright enviable.

Why? We have someone the world does not know. We have someone who will calm our fears and lead and guide us to the answer. We have someone who knows how long we will be without a job, where the next job is or maybe how to start our own business. We have someone who will assure and comfort us, someone who will speak to someone else to make sure we don't go hungry while we wait. So what if you lose the house? We have someone who will provide shelter until the next one comes. We have someone who will keep us in perfect peace while we wait. Philippians 4:6-7 What if you are terminally ill? We have someone who has already healed us and have someone who reminds us that no matter how it looks we will never die. Isaiah 53:5 Jesus told us about Him when He tried to comfort the disciples as he prepared them for His death and departure. John 16:7, John 16:13 He has the inside tract. He searches all things, the very deep things of the Almighty God Himself. 1 Corinthians 2:10 No man knows things of God like Him. 1 Corinthians 2:11 When we don't even know what to ask for He talks to God for us. Romans 8:26 He searches our hearts and then intercedes for us with God's perfect will. Romans 8:27 He is the reason we are never alone because God's very own Holy Spirit is with us. John 16:13-14

“Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]” Hebrews 13:5

Just think where you would be without Him. Sleeping on the street, not in your right mind, fighting and cussing, drugging, drinking,.. But wait a minute, According to Jesus you are still blessed if you know Him as Lord and Savior. Matter of fact you are drunk, sleeping on the street and down right enviable. Why? Because you are never alone. He is loving you through no matter how it looks on the outside. Romans 8:35 Romans 8:37-39 He is talking to someone to pray for us 1 John 5:16, sending someone to help. Galatians 6:1-2 He will deliver you, heal you, give you peace that surpasses all understanding, provide you shelter. Romans 5:20 “Blessed, spiritually prosperous—possessing the happiness produced by the experience of God's favor and especially conditioned by the revelation of His grace, regardless of their outward conditions.” No matter the mistakes, the bad choices He then causeth all things to work for our good. Romans 8:28

So who is it that such grace is enviable to? The very ones who are without Christ and cannot understand why you haven't given up. Why you are laughing and smiling, why in the world are you still giving when you don't have much yourself. How is it that people are helping you? You are also enviable to the believers who are growing and watching you and want a closer walk with Christ that will build their faith like yours. Romans 11:13-14

God says, "_____________ (insert your name) where you are right this very moment, no matter how bad it seems, I AM there. You are blessed, spiritually prosperous, favored by Me. And because of My Son you are now my child too.Romans 8:15 Now forever look up no need to look down except to humbly bow before Me. (Smile)

Well I called my friend back and we prayed. We were reminded that we now have the ministry of reconcilliation. We prayed for her daughter-in-law, herself, and spotted the real Enemy and his devisive plan. John 10:10, Luke 11:17 We cast him down in the name of Jesus and covered the family in His blood. For what can wash away our sins, nothing the blood of Jesus, what can make us whole again nothing but the blood of Jesus. Then the crying stopped and peace reigned!!! Blessed and happy and enviably fortunate and spiritually prosperous is the born again child of God regardless of the outward conditions!!!
