“And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth ,
which was crucified: he is risen;
he is not here: behold the place where they laid him .”
Mark 16:6

Resurrection Sunday! Jesus got up with all power! Hallelujah!!! Power over death, He paid the penalty for our sins!

Knowing the price He paid with His precious blood, what then is our response? How deeply do you feel it? How deeply do you show it? What He asks of us (Luke 9:23) is only fitting for we were bought with a price. We are no longer our own. 1 Corinthians 7:22-23 And the price was with His precious blood. (1 Peter 1:18-19) Our response is to willingly give ourselves away to Him. We sing it, love the melody, know all the words.

[I give myself away I give myself away So You can use me I give myself away I give myself away So You can use me. Take my heart, Take my life as a living sacrifice, all my dreams, all my plans, Lord I place them in your hands. I give myself away.]

The widow's response to her love for God was to give all of her finances which was nothing to the world but everything in Christ. And it caught His attention. “And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had. Luke 21:1-4 So He suffered, bled, died, and rose for you? Are you holding anything back that He deserves?

“And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman (Mary, Lazarus and Martha sister who sat at Jesus feet valuing His word) having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head. And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made? For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her. And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.” Mark 14:3-6 Knowing His value to her, she so willingily poured out to Him what the world valued more than Him. So He suffered, bled, and died, for you how much do you value Him?

“And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat. And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.” Luke 7:36-38 As you celebrate Jesus' resurrection mediate on the stripes He took for you. How are you responding? 2 Corinthians 7:10

“And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet. My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment. Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.” Luke 7:44-48 Think about the sins you committed that He was beaten for, stripped, spit on, mocked, laughed at, ridiculed, denied, betrayed, placed on The Cross. Think about every nail being hammered in his flesh, how the spear was pierced in His side, then to have His Father turn his back on Him, hung there until He took His last breath. He became sin, the whoremonger, the liar, the thief, the murderer, your secret sin, yes he became sin so we did not have to suffer eternally in hell. 2 Corinthians 5:21, Romans 3:23

What then is your alabaster box? Is there anything in your life right now that you value more than Christ our Savior? Psalm 139:23-24

God says, “____________ what is your daily response to the depth of the price my Son paid that you might be restored back in my presence eternally. It was a stiff sentence and there is no way you and no one else could have paid the penalty and still lived. BUT CHRIST, He died and I raised Him up and now He's with Me interceding and keeping you from falling until you make it to our Heavenly Home.

Knowing the price for the sin Jesus paid for me causes me not only to Give Myself Away but then give Him more each and every day. After having a cancerous tumor removed from my breast, while going through chemotherapy my response to my Savior, my healer was to get out of bed every morning and sing: [I wanna give my best to you, I wanna do what you asked me to, I wanna go wherever you say, just say the word and I'll obey, I wanna live a life that's real, I wanna serve you lord for real, for you deserve all this and more, so I'll give you more.]
