In the Garden of Eden Adam and Eve made a choice that did not include God. Genesis 3:6 They actually chose self over Love 1 John 4:16 for God is Love. They communicated together and left Love out. With the help of the enemy (remember he was in the garden too) Genesis 3:1, they chose a path that took them away from God and entered a place where, no matter how much they tried, they would never be fulfilled again.

I too have made choices that did not include God. These choices brought me to a place wondering why I felt so unfulfilled. When I loved and cared for others, why could they not love me the same way? I kept opening up a place in my heart to others and found that I couldn't receive back what I was giving out. One morning God said to me that this place was only created for Him and nobody and no thing on earth could fulfill it.

Only the Creator could fulfill what He alone created. No man, No woman, No children, No friend, No job, No money, No alcohol. His creation could only mimic what He created Himself to fulfill. He knows our every intricate part. He alone knows our every need and how to fulfill it. Psalms 139:13-17

How can a human being always meet your every need, every time you want them, every thing you want them to do, and every thought you have. I realized that not even I was giving that kind of love. That love is only meant to give to God. Mark 12:30. My disappointment with others that could not do this caused pain to them and to most of all myself. I placed demands upon them that they were never meant to meet.

Is God speaking to you today? Have you demanded from others what only God can give? He knows how to love you better than anyone on earth. Never feel bad about sharing your love and not getting it back the way you want it. Only God can return what you gave out and now miss. Romans 5:5

Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord [roll and repose each care of your load on Him]; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass.
