“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God,
The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. ”
Isaiah 9:6

Christmas is a day Christians celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Messiah (The Promised Deliverer) has come and most of all will return! Take a moment and reflect on the value of the gift of Jesus' birth.

What if Jesus was never born? Hmmm...

For one thing we would not have the privilege of knowing God as Father nor have access to Him. For if you were not a Jew, without Jesus we could not be part of God's family. Ephesians 2:11-12. We would be like orphans, no one to take care of us, held to the mercy of men led by the ruler of this world, Satan. Ephesians 2:2 bound to the law unto death. Romans 6:23

Our father would be Satan, the deceiver, the father of lies. John 8:44 Life would be haywired (erratic, out of control) darkness would reign. Satan would play games with us and use us as sport at his will. 2 Timothy 2:26 There wouldn't be a Counselor who knows all things. As the Prophet Isaiah prophesied to the people who were forsaking God, we would seek counsel from witches and those with familiar spirits hoping someone could give us answers Isaiah 8:19-20 to the many questions and doubts Satan would constantly rage in our minds, similar to what he did Eve in the Garden of Eden Genesis 3:1-5.

He would trick us into killing one another, envying one another, hating one another Galatians 5:19-20, biting and devouring one another Galatians 5:15 We would be lied to and deceived, not knowing the truth in anything since it's only the Holy Spirit that leads us into all truth John 16:13, for it is through Him that God speaks to us. 1 Corinthians 2:10. 1 Corinthians 2:11. You see if Jesus was never born we wouldn't have the Holy Spirit, the Comforter. John 16:7 Our carnal minds would have us looking for a Messiah that would simply rule on the land and beat up the bully, Satan 1 Corinthians 2:14, making us rulers and even fighting for the best positions. Mark 10:35-37 Truly the blind would be leading the blind. Matthew 15:14

BUT GOD, had a greater plan, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

The Prince of Peace was born to reconcile us back to God. Romans 5:1. For we were once His enemies. Ephesians 4:18 And because of the Peace we now have access to God Romans 5:2, the Wonderful Counsellor, who knows all, sees all. He promises to tell us things that we can't know without Him. We don't need a fortune teller or a sooth slayer Jeremiah 33:2-3. For He is the mighty God,Wonderful, Counsellor, there was none before him or will ever be after Him, He is our only Savior Isaiah 43:10-11. He is the Lord God mighty in battle Psalm 24:8. And He is the everlasting Father Romans 8:15-16, and because He is our everlasting Father we are His heirs, "And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ;…:" Romans8:17a.

What if Jesus was never born? The results are the same for those who have not received him as their Lord and Savior; it is as if Jesus was never born! 2 Corinthians 4:3-4

Although his death and resurrection speaks to our salvation, His birth speaks to His willingness to give up his rights in heaven to be likened unto sinful man 2 Corinthians 8:9. To humble himself to such a degree that He literally was placed in the womb then in the arms of a human being. God, Jesus himself, the King of the universe placed himself in such a vulnerable position just to save us! But not only to save us but that we might live an abundant life in Him John 10:10 until we reach that place He has prepared for us! John 14:2-3, Revelations 21:21-22, Revelations 21:4, Revelations 21:7.

If you don't know Him, come and meet Him today [Salvation is Free] and if you do Celebrate His birth today! He's worthy and worthy to be praised!!! Apart from Jesus we can't do nothing but fail. John 15:5

Today and everyday we celebrate the One and Only gift that keeps on giving and will give throughout eternity. Happy Birthday Jesus! May Your Spirit reign in our lives today and forever for this is truly the Spirit of Christmas!
