“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence.
In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration;
but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]!
For I have overcome the world.
[I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]”
John 16:33

As Jesus' time neared to leave this earth, knowing the emptiness and sadness his disciples would feel and loving them dearly, he taught, comforted, and prepared His disciples letting them know in this world there will be trouble. He did not leave them in the dark. At one point He warned Peter and the disciples , “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail." He then told him, "And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” (NIV)Luke 22:31-32 Jesus prayed to our FAther, “I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.” John 17:15 Oh how I love Jesus.... Jesus did not say Christians will never have trouble, will never get sick, or will never suffer. He prayed that we be kept by our Father from the evil of this world.. John 10:29

After hearing a cancer diagnosis the Lord told me to go back to what I began to pray for six days earlier. I was prompted by the Spirit to pray for God's MANIFESTED GLORY to be revealed or demonstrated through me. Within six weeks the cancerous tumor was found, removed and the pathology report showed it did not spread. Oh what a victorious celebration!!! God's manifested Power, God's manifested Presence, and His manifested Goodness was revealed. I am healed!!!

But remember what Jesus taught, “…In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration;…” John 16:33

Now from the very beginning when I first of heard the diagnosis, my prayer to God was to not allow me to go through chemotherapy. The bible says, “…yet ye have not, because ye ask not..” James 4:2 Wow what a way to continue to have His manifested glory demonstrated through me. MY testimony would be there was cancer and God completely removed it. THE END! Hallelujah!! What a great way to have God's glory demonstrated!!! Psalms 118:17 BUT the bible also says,“ Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.” James 4:3 Well asking that I would not have chemo would demonstrate His glory and still glorify Him. Hmmm....

[Life Application Bible - James mentions the most common problems in prayer are: not asking, asking for the wrong things, or asking for the wrong reasons. Do you talk to God at all? When you do, what do you talk about? Do you ask only to satisfy your desires? Do you seek God's approval for what you already plan to do? Your prayers will become powerful when you allow God to change your desires so that they perfectly correspond to his will for you.] Hmmm…. John 15:7

“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence…” John 16:33

MY plans, MY will was NO CHEMO Hallelujah!! Did not God say in Psalms 37:4-5 “Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. [Life Application Bible - First to delight in the Lord we must know him better. Knowledge of God's great love will in deed give us delight.] Knowing and experiencing His love causes you to be able to trust Him with all.

"Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”?

To commit ourselves to the Lord means entrusting everything – our lives, families, jobs, possessions – to his control and guidance. To commit ourselves means to trust in him, believing that he can care for us better than we can ourselves. We should be willing to wait patiently for him to work out what is best for us.]

(NIV) “Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “ My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will , but as you will .” Matthew 26:39

But then God's answer to NO Chemo was YES Chemo. Yes, the cancerous tumor was removed but because of the size chemotherapy was needed for the possibility of cancer cells in my blood stream. So I was saddened and felt cast down. Then I heard in my spirit, “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.” Psalms 43:5 Oh how I love the Word of God. Romans 15:4 Where would I be without Him? Psalms 124:1-2 He promised to never ever leave me Hebrews 13:5 and He sent the Holy Spirit to comfort me and bring to my remembrance the Word that I may be strengthened. John 14:26.

“... but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]” John 16:33

I had a monologue conversation with God asking Him to not allow me to go through chemo. But God's dialogue with me was HE has a plan for my life and it is for good and not for evil and it has an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11 The plan has not changed from when I first received the diagnosis.

Not my will but Your will be done. “... for this sickness is not unto death but for the glory of God..." John 11:4 Still standing on the same scripture, “… in order that the workings of God should be manifested (displayed and illustrated) in him (me). John 9:3, still must keep my eyes on Jesus and trust the process for He is orchestrating my healing and what was meant for evil, God meant it for good. But this is the key part, TO SAVE MUCH PEOPLE OF ALIVE.” Genesis 50:20 Jesus told Peter, And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” Luke 22:32 How can the world see the goodness of our God if we don't experience it, demonstrate it, testify of it, so He can use it to strengthen others!

[The song writer says in "Be Grateful" , “ God has not promised me sunshine, that's not the way it's going to be .But a little rain, mixed with God's sunshine A little pain, makes me appreciate the good times. Be grateful. He says, Then he says, “Be grateful because there's someone else whose worse off than you. Be grateful because there someone else who love to be in your shoes! Be grateful.”]

What about you today? Have you felt that God has not answered your prayers the way you wanted Him to? Well, don't be discouraged remember He will give you the desires of your heart but you must allow God to change your desires so that they perfectly correspond to his will for you John 15:7 for He alone knows the plans He has for you and they are for good and not for evil. Jeremiah 29:11 You must commit yourself to the Lord entrusting everything – your life, family, job, possessions – to his control and guidance, believing that he can care for you better than you can yourself. Then you should be willing to wait patiently for him to work out what is best for you. "...Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart, wait, I say, on the Lord." Psalms 27:13-14

God says, "___________ (insert your name) you no longer belong to yourself. I bought you with a price, the precious blood of Jesus, my only begotten Son. I have chosen you to experience me as your loving Father, I desire that you know Me and understand that there is no other God and that I AM your only Savior." Isaiah 43:10-11.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today I'm still standing as His demonstration of His Power, His Presence, and His Goodness. I never stopped working and never stopped serving Him and if you see me you wouldn't even know anything was wrong. That's the God I serve. I am His witness and have been given this great privilege to experience Him, to know Him, to believe Him and to know without a doubt that there is no other God like Him and He is truly the only Savior. AMEN!!! So if you don't know Him like this, please stop for a minute and talk to someone who will lead you to Him. He is just a click away, [The Only Way to the Father]
