The more you remain on the path of sin the more your sin will be exposed. Why? Because the more you are able to hide the longer you stay. If you are God's child, the Spirit will convict you and you can't remain. (NLT) “ Those who have been born into God's family do not make a practice of sinning, because God's life [ a ] is in them. So they can't keep on sinning, because they are children of God. ” 1 John 3:9 Think about it. What are you doing right now that you would never want exposed to any one let alone the world? If you continue in that sin, whatever it is, it will be exposed. Mark 4:22 God has a way of using shame to bring you into repentance. The sooner you repent the less you will be exposed. I've watched several well know Ministers be exposed to the world. I believe that if repentance would have come early we may have not known. We all have secret sins no matter how small or large. I can truly say that there are things in my life that I don't want the world to know, not even my closest friends. I shiver at the thought of not choosing to repent. If I could have remained hidden, where would I be right now? After reading Psalm 32 I know why my sins were not exposed. I chose the path that led to God's hiding place. As a child of God my transgressions are forgiven and my iniquities are covered Psalm 32:1-2. God's desire is to keep me on the path of righteousness. David said “I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.” Psalm 32:5 Then he encouraged everyone to follow what he did. The sooner you come to repentance God's judgment will not come Psalm 32:6. David goes on to say, “Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.” Psalm 32:7. Then God says in this hiding place, “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” Psalm 32:8. This is the path that I chose. But He says don't be like a mule that have to be bridled in order to come back Psalm 32:9. This the path where after you give God the permission He brings you back in His own way Psalm 139:23-24. God says, “Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about. Psalm 32:10 God says, (insert your name) “_____________, there will be many unnecessary sorrows if you remain on this path of sin. Repent and come back. I will forgive you, cover you, counsel you, and guide you. In this place you; yourself will then have a choice, as I lead you, of revealing those sins to others in order to help them. In Sunday School on yesterday one of the Elder's said, “We tend to minimize the value of Christ blood by placing categories of how large someone's sin is. There is not a large enough sin that the price of the blood can't redeem. It reaches to the deepest valley.” Then another Elder said, “And it never loses its power!” There will still be consequences for our transgressions but if you come back to the path of righteousness sooner than later your transgressions can be just between you and God. | |
